Recently, the Shanghai Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Management Committee issued a notice on approving the "Technical Standards for the Application of Building Thermal Insulation Coatings" as the Shanghai Engineering Construction Standard.
The "Technical Standard for Application of Building Thermal Insulation Coatings" edited by Shanghai Building Science Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Green Building Association is now approved as the Shanghai Engineering Construction Code with the unified number DG/TJ 08-2200-2024, which will be implemented from July 1, 2024. The original Technical Specification for Application of Architectural Reflective Thermal Insulation Coatings (DG/TJ 08-2200-2016) shall be abolished at the same time.
On the road of promoting the application and development of new thermal insulation coatings, Shanghai Academy of Building Science Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Green Building Association joined hands with relevant units to jointly carry out in-depth revision of the technical regulations for the application of building reflective thermal insulation coatings. The purpose of this revision is to incorporate the key technical requirements such as material performance, design, construction and quality acceptance of new radiation barrier thermal insulation coatings such as aerogels, so as to more comprehensively guide and standardize the application of thermal insulation coatings.
The revised "Technical Standards for the Application of Building Thermal Insulation Coatings" not only provides clear guidance for the application of new thermal insulation coatings, but also strongly promotes the wide promotion and application of new products and technologies. The implementation of this standard will further improve the thermal insulation performance of the building envelope, effectively improve the indoor thermal environment, reduce the energy consumption of the building during operation, and contribute to the green building and sustainable development.
Through the revision and implementation of this standard, we look forward to seeing more efficient and environmentally friendly thermal insulation coatings widely used in the construction field, providing strong support for creating a more comfortable and energy-saving living environment.
